All of our hand turned pens and hand turned pencils are individually inspected for quality. Our goal is to provide you with  a superior hand made writing instruments. Each of the wood pens, wood pencils and fountain pens at AJR Pens are individually hand turned and inspected at every stage of the creation process. The artisans here at AJR Pens begin by hand selecting the wood blanks per client orders. These blanks are cut to length depending on which writing instrument the client has ordered. After boring the center in the blanks for our hand turned pens, hand turned pencils or hand turned fountain pens. Our artisans then put the prepared blanks onto the wood lathe and hand cut the contour to the desired size and shape desired by our clients. After turning our hand made writing instruments are sanded with progressively finer grits of sand paper. Once sanding is complete and inspected our wood writing instruments are finished with multiple layers of specially formulated finish. Upon completion of the turning and finishing process. Your hand turned writing instruments move on to assembly. In assembly our artisans complete your hand turned writing instruments so that it best shows off the unique wood grain of these wood pens and wood pencils.
